April 2015 - Christian

 April 2015

It seems there are ever-increasing numbers of fantastic books published each month and April 2015 looks set to be a month to remember for new and exciting books. With so many on offer I have split my April 2015 list into categories. Here are the Christian fiction books that have particularly caught my interest. You can find the list of Young adult releases here.

Christian Fiction

Double CrossDouble Cross – DiAnn Mills – FBI: Houston #2 – Tyndale House Publishers – Published 1 April 2015

Double Cross has all the makings of a great Christian, romantic suspense. A Houston Police Officer and a FBI Agent cross paths during an investigation into an insurance fraud case that has turned personal for them both.

There are lots of surprise twists and the romance is beautifully sweet.

Christian Fiction. Suspense.

Buried SecretsBuried Secrets – Irene Hannon – Men of Valor #1 – Revell – Published 7 April 2015

Buried Secrets is the most engaging romantic suspense I have read for a while.

The romance is particularly well written in this book. From the first moment Mac McGregor, detective and ex-Navy SEAL, puts his foot in it, you know his relationship with Police Chief Lisa Grant is going to be highly entertaining.

Christian Fiction. Suspense.

From the startFrom the Start – Melissa Tagg – The Walker Family #1 – Bethany House Publishers – Published 7 April 2015

From The Start has plenty of action, including two natural disasters and a number of small town celebrations, sweet romance, and a gorgeous and cozy small-town setting.

Kate Walker is suffering from a career slump. Unsure what else to do she returns to her home town of Maple Valley to help her family after a twister rips through the area. She is surprised to meet Colton, former NFL a friend of her brother, who is also unsure about his future and struggling with his past. From their surprise (and rather funny) first meeting, you know there are going to be some serious sparks between the two of them.

Christian Fiction. Contemporary.

The art of losing yourself

The Art of Losing Yourself – Katie Ganshert – WaterBrook Press- Published 21 April 2015

“Every morning, Carmen Hart pastes on her made-for-TV smile and broadcasts the weather. She’s the Florida panhandle’s favorite meteorologist, married to everyone’s favorite high school football coach. They’re the perfect-looking couple. From the outside.

Until Carmen’s sister—seventeen year old runaway, Gracie Fisher—steps in and changes everything. Carmen has no other option but to take Gracie in. Is it possible for God to use a broken teenager and an abandoned motel to bring a woman’s faith and marriage back to life? Can two half-sisters make each other whole?”

Christian Fiction. Contemporary.

No place to hideNo Place To Hide – Lynette Eason – Hidden Identity #3 – Revell – Published 28 April 2015

When her first love is linked to a terrorist plot, Jackie Sellers knows it can’t be true. On the run together, they must clear his name and outwit the killers before it’s too late and innocent lives are lost.

The third book in a series of standalones. If it holds true to the previous books, then this should be an action-filled and quick suspense book.

Christian Fiction. Suspense.

A love like oursA Love Like Ours – Becky Wade – Porter Family #3 – Bethany House Publishers – Published 28 April 2015

Former Marine Jake Porter has far deeper scars than the one that marks his face. He struggles with symptoms of PTSD, lives a solitary life, and avoids relationships.

When Lyndie James, Jake’s childhood best friend, lands back in Holley, Texas, Jake cautiously hires her to exercise his Thoroughbreds. Jake pairs her with Silver Leaf, a horse full of promise but lacking in results, hoping she can solve the mystery of the stallion’s reluctance to run.

Christian Fiction. Contemporary.
